Number Sixteen
Number 16 Final.jpg The mood I'm going for in this piece is dark, moody and depressing. The way I made it look this way is that I used filtering on each photo, toyed with the opacity, and darkened the layer with the flowers which is the top layer. I distorted the teen's face and overall the image so that it would be a mystery as to what he was doing. On the bottom layer, I put dragon wings and played with the filters to darken them. In a way, I made the teen look like a dark angel of some kind. Overall, I feel I did better on this piece than my first one. :) I also used some Photo Filtering to darken the colors a bit.

Number Seventeen
Number Seventeen Final.jpg I added a few shapes and roughened and darkened them. I also put a phrase into the image, "Never again will I fall for you", to portray a sense of sadness and heartbreak.

Number Eighteen

Number Eighteen Final.jpgI drop shadowed, used shapes then roughened them, and worked on the lines. Like the direction, placement, and size. I made them all different lengths and sizes and placed them overlapping each other a lot. I made this piece to be fun, creative, and a bit bubble gum.

Number Nineteen
My abstract Expressionism piece conveys the mood of my song, The Mortician's Daughter by Black Veil Brides, very well in some aspects but not so well in other aspects. The way it worked to convey the mood is through color. I used lighter, more romantic, soft colors to convey the feeling of love, which is present throughout the song. I also used repetition of the heart to show even more the feeling of love. I used repetition in the direction and shape of the lines. I made them look like waves to give the effect of a sea of love. I drop shadowed the biggest heart and the surrounding lines to show emphasis on the fact that it was the shape that starts the flow of the waves. In some ways, it also did not convey the mood well. I put all the lines and shapes in or near the middle of the canvas, when I should have spread them out more. I also didn't do much in playing with the size of the waves, which would've helped to give a more romantic mood.

Number Twenty
The idea of Surrealism is exploring the subconscious mind in a dreamlike state using images to organize them in a certain way in which they are not related but have hidden meanings.
My piece I never printed as I was uncomfortable and unsure of it. I changed the look of it several times to try to get the meaning of the imagery I found in the Edgar Allan Poe poem The Raven. I felt I was unsuccessful in my approach to this project.100MEDIA$IMAG0227.jpg
